Katie Compton, LPC, RPT™
Brighter Pastures Await
I believe there is always hope for every child and every family even through the darkest moments. As a counselor for children, I work with caregivers to collaborate on the healing process for children with a focus on transitioning therapeutic support back to families. It is an honor to share relational space with children as they internalize a new sense of self and begin to make shifts towards increased joy and well-being. By supporting a child’s inherent personal value and allowing them to be an expert on themselves, internal changes begin to shift the influences of external experiences. From this perspective, goals include inviting a more positive self-regard, growing an ability to trust within safe relationships, and identifying strengths that provide coping skills and resiliency for overcoming challenges.
Currently, I am not accepting new clients and recommend engaging with my Referrals.

About me...
I work with caregivers to collaborate on the healing process for children with a focus on transitioning therapeutic support back to families. I believe counselors facilitate healing by walking alongside the struggles of others, allowing safe exploration of hurts in a way that discovers acts of love, uncovers hope, and reveals a greater transformational goal that encourages lasting change. It is an honor to share this relational space with children as they internalize a new sense of self and begin to make shifts towards increased joy and well-being.
